Medical Writer and Editor

We are seeking experienced medical writers and senior medical writers to join our busy editorial team.

The role of Medical Writer and Editor (Med Comms) in the WoundsGroup is primarily to develop and produce the medical education/projects for the Wounds division. The function also comprises support of the commercial activities of the division and to define new product opportunities where appropriate.

 

Main duties

  • To manage, and take responsibility for, project-based activity (Med Ed) for WoundsGroup
  • To provide a high standard of writing/editing on a broad range of materials, in print and online
  • To ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to a high quality

We are seeking experienced medical writers and senior medical writers to join our busy editorial team.

We are seeking experienced medical writers to join our busy editorial team. The team creates and delivers a wide range of projects, serving the needs of both the pharmaceutical company sponsors and the healthcare professional audience. The majority of our work is digital, developing educational resource hubs as well as delivering live events through our online platform, but there will also be the chance to work on face-to-face conferences and events.

The medical writers are responsible for leading content development across multiple projects, ensuring agreed timelines are met and quality standards upheld. You will will also play a key part in proposing and defining the scope of new projects

  • Crafting written content for assigned projects (including, but not limited to: slide decks, email invitations, video scripts, advertisements, FAQ documents, case studies and CPD modules), either de novo or as updates to existing materials; incorporating client and speaker feedback as needed
  • Copyediting and proof-reading of a wide range of materials generated by other members of the project team (e.g. for coherence, structure, consistency, style, grammar/spelling, applicability to the readership)
  • Collaborating with design and digital teams to ensure creative concepts align with the scientific messaging of a project, and that any scientific claims or data are accurately represented
  • Approval systems: submitting project materials for online approval via Veeva Vault and managing the approvals process
  • Balancing editorial tasks relating to multiple projects, making appropriate prioritisation decisions
  • Recommending suitable approaches for content development to the client services team when projects are being planned

Developed in the United Kingdom 25 years ago, GPnotebook is now used in over 150 countries worldwide. Since official launch in Australia in August 2019, GPnotebook has gained over 40% market access and is growing at a rate of circa 80 GPs a day.

Job purpose

The role of Client Relationship Manager is to develop, maintain and grown commercial opportunities within the Australian healthcare market for the GPnotebook brand. This includes lead generation and sales of all digital inventory and eDM activity to all relevant healthcare agencies, device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.

In addition, the BDM will work with the UK based Directors to identify new opportunities for the Australian market, and support in developing a strategy to introduce and sell the concepts.

Main duties

  • To manage and have full responsibility for sales-based activity for the GPnotebook Australia brand. This includes display, online, emails, bespoke and medical education.
  • To develop sales opportunities for the brand through collaboration with clients, sponsors, KOLs and other clinicians. This includes the development of new business opportunities driving and developing accounts and new revenue.
  • To ‘own’ and update weekly sales reporting in-to the UK business and provide regular reports for senior management, accurately recording the financial and revenue activity of the business.

Can you deliver complex projects on time, within budget and grow client relationships?

Responsible for organising and delivering digital projects including webinars, digital events, videos and marketing materials on behalf of pharmaceutical clients, as well as maintaining strong client relationships.

 

Main duties
